This month, CHAS launched the UK's first ever virtual hospice, thanks to you.

For families caring for some of Scotland's most vulnerable children, social isolation has meant that they could be feeling lonelier than ever.

Will you share a message of joy, hope and love with children in Scotland with life-shortening conditions? Your messages will show families like Ayla's that they're not alone. Getting involved is easy and fun. Simply create a message of joy, in whatever way you like and send it to us so we can share with families through the virtual hospice.

Help reach more families in Scotland

We know these are difficult times for everyone, so we want to make sure everyone can continue to show their support for children with life-shortening conditions in whatever way they can.

That doesn't always mean giving a donation. But there's no escaping the fact that this crisis has hit us hard. With many of our major fundraising activities now put on hold or postponed until further notice, reaching every child in Scotland has never been more difficult. If you can (and only if you can), please consider giving a gift to help support Scotland's most vulnerable children through this crisis.

Share Your Joy!

Share your messages of joy, and support Scotland's most vulnerable children

1. Think about what brings you joy

You can share your message of joy any way you like! Joy means different things to different people. It's up to you to show how you express joy. Joy to you could simply mean something that makes you laugh. Need some inspiration? Here's a message from Dr Squeegie from Hearts and Minds, live from the Clowndoctor cupboard!

£10

Could pay for three kindness calls to families so they know that even if they feel lonely, they're not alone.

£30

Could pay for a phone consultation with a nurse, providing support and reassurance to parents caring for a child with complex needs

£50

Could pay for a money advice session to alleviate some of the additional worries placed on families caring for vulnerable children during this uncertain time.

The impact your gift will make

Write a few words of support, joy and kindness. This will mean the world to isolated families.

Draw a picture or a beautiful rainbow like Ayla's lovely picture here.

Don your geekiest T-shirt and take part in Geeky T-Shirt Day on May 4th. May the fourth be with you 🌟

Send us a video of a funny dance or routine to make Ayla and her mum laugh.

Olivia and her mum Gwen are clearly very happy about something! Share what brings you joy.

2. Start creating!

"It's these small acts of kindness that will get us through these challenging times."

- Caroline, Ayla's mum
